Chess for
business
and life

Chess
forBusiness

Chess has so many skills that are so useful when it comes to business.

Of course, people all know the classic ones:

Strategy

Long-term planning and staying adaptable in changing markets.

Critical Thinking

Making better decisions under pressure.

Analytics

Evaluating risk vs reward before committing resources.

But what about the ability to assess risk and decide whether to pivot? Or dealing with a competitor who’s always setting you up for failure?

In business, like in chess, success depends on foresight, adaptability, and knowing when to seize opportunities. Through my sessions, I help teams strengthen these skills so they can think several moves ahead, anticipate challenges, and make smarter decisions in high-pressure environments.

Book
a Workshop

I run workshops in businesses, helping them to think outside the box; to use chess as a skill in business and be able to think ahead, preempt difficult situations and always be prepared for whatever is up ahead.

These workshops are designed for teams, leaders, and founders who want to think more strategically and make better decisions under pressure. Chess provides an innovative and challenging way to explore those skills. After all, every move has consequences, and the lessons translate directly to business and leadership.

By the end of the session, participants will have sharpened their ability to plan ahead, evaluate risks, and adapt quickly when things change. It’s a practical, interactive experience that leaves people with new perspectives and tools they can take back to the office the very next day.

Chess and Poker
for Life

My “Chess and Poker For Life” talk is one of my signature talks. I have delivered this at conferences all over the world now and demonstrate the skills I’ve used from both poker and chess and how I apply it to life.

My goal is to help educate people about how both chess and poker are games of strategy and that anyone can play them.

I want to dispel the myths that chess is only for smart people and poker is a gambling game.

I have learned so many skills from both chess and poker that have transformed my life as a result and I want to pass that knowledge onto as many people as possible.

If you’re looking for a different sort of keynote speaker for your upcoming event, don’t be afraid to get in touch.

Why Book a
Chess Workshop

Practical Skills

Every session connects chess principles directly to real-world business challenges.

Interactive Learning

Hands-on exercises keep participants engaged and applying concepts immediately.

Lasting Impact

Teams leave with strategies they can implement long after the workshop ends.

Corporate
Chess Events

Chess is also a great social game, especially in a corporate setting.

Chess strategy sessions and tournaments are a great work social idea.

I host chess events as part of a company’s internal sessions and run workshops like the ones mentioned above, but also host fun tournaments along with prizes.

I often come along with a chess “celebrity guest” and the team get the chance to play against a chess master too.
