Yesterday, I received the incredible news that I have been invited to the LinkedIn Creator Accelerator programme in the UK.
Of the thousands of content creators in the UK, LinkedIn selected just 150 people in the UK to be part of the 6-week programme based on the content they’ve been creating… and I was one of them!
I could not believe it!
What is the LinkedIn Creator Accelerator?
The LinkedIn Creator Accelerator is a 6-week programme designed by LinkedIn to help creators get prepared with the right tools and tricks to create awesome content on LinkedIn.
The programme is highly sought-after, as not only do you get dedicated support and training from the LinkedIn team, you get celebrity mentors such as Caspar Lee, Paul Brunson and Harpreet Kaur. Plus, training from amazing software providers such as StreamYard, Descript, Pivo and Canva.
If this wasn’t enough, you get a financial grant of up to $8000!
I think a lot of people would pay to be on this programme, let alone be paid to be one it!
What does this mean for the next 6 weeks on LinkedIn?
Being part of the accelerator means that I will be creating content each week, specifically for LinkedIn. I won’t be sharing this content on any other platforms or on my website. I will post at least 3 times a week about my passion subjects.
These are things like what it’s really like running a business, especially as a black female boss. Entrepreneurship is not as glamourous as many people on social media try to make it out to be, and I like to keep it real to show the ups and downs… helping other entrepreneurs prepare for the road ahead.
I will also be posting a lot about sustainability. My agency, Complex Creative, focuses on building low-carbon websites and we’re also in the middle of working on our B Corp application. So, sustainability is such a huge part of what we do.
I will also be trialling out different forms of content – videos, carousels etc. and so it will be a bit of a bumpy ride as I find out what works.
So, these next 6 weeks are going to be a hell of a journey! If there’s anything you’d like me to post about, then please feel free to get in touch and I will do my best!
